United Women’s Soccer (UWS)
In late 2015 a new second-tier national women’s soccer league, United Women’s Soccer (UWS), was formed. UWS is a professionally operated league sanctioned by U.S. Soccer. The official season begins in May 2016 and provides the collegiate player an opportunity to evolve & enhance their game for fall competition while giving the post-collegiate player a chance to further develop for the professional & international ranks. CIRCLE: The circle represents the unity of the league & movement of women’s soccer across the globe. STARS: The stars signify honor, achievement, and ambitions. The ascending formation represents the next generation of rising stars.

UWS Emblem: The emblem includes the typography “UWS” where the “W” is represented as a pictorial element. The “W” icon signifies a female soccer player moving forward on a pathway to professionalism and her motion on the pitch itself. The “U” and “S” are slightly overlapped by the “W” to represent unity within the league and also “US” for U.S. Soccer, the sanctioning body for UWS.
